Sights from the Sidelines: Sovereign Snow

“Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail” (Job 38:22).

We’re snowed in again today.  Like it or not, our sovereign God has forced southeast Tennessee to rest.  Everything has come to a standstill.  Rhea County authorities have encouraged citizens to stay off the roads.  This is the second day that all the schools have had to call “snow days.”  Students have been having a great time (my kids are loving this)!  Teachers want to get back to work.  Principals do not want to use any more days.  God remains on the throne, asserting His sovereignty.  In that, I rejoice.  The snow is beautiful as well.  Things could be worse.

How’s ’bout that BCS National Championship game last night?!
